Neil, Dave and I would go to Poppins frequently, a very popular cafe in Sutton High Street just around the corner from our offices, we would always be guaranteed a table even when it was busy, the lovely mother of the family that ran it would be ejected from the family table right at the back of the restaurant, the table would be cleaned and the cutlery would be laid down all before we’d made it from the door, always had the same thing, Jacket Potato with various toppings, and three mugs of tea…we never deviated from our orders, creatures of habit I guess, but we always promised that we’d have the “Booby Pudding” one day… a sugary delight which tempted us on numerous occasions, named as such as it resembled aforementioned Boobies! Neil’s description. I’m sure to go in again and think of Neil, in fact I think of him a lot lately. My dear friend, I’m going for the Boobies Neil, I’ll let you know what they taste like…
